Learn more about our trauma-informed approach

We use a trauma-informed approach to support all clients, not just those who have shared a history of trauma.

About Our Founder

It's so nice to meet you! My name is Meagan and I am the owner and founder of Peaceful Perinatal. I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), educator, researcher, and advocate for trauma survivors. I care deeply about perinatal care, LGBTQ+ health, healing, and reproductive justice.

I am the first lactation professional to be certified to offer the Survivor Moms' Companion (SMC) program and am the only SMC tutor in the DC/Maryland area. It's an honor to hold this role and I'm so grateful to my clients and families who trust me to walk alongside them on their healing journeys.

When not serving families or working at my local hospital, I can be found reading, starting a new quilting project (or two!), cuddling with my pet bunny, or watching reality TV with my partner of over a decade.
